The management of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko has announced Tuesday, November 9, 2021, as the date for the matriculation ceremony for the newly admitted students for the 2020/2021 academic session.
This was made known in a circular released to the university community, dated 15th October, 20221, with ref number AD/REG/CIR/58/VOL.VI/316, signed by the institution’s Registrar, Olugbenga Arajulu.
The circular read: “The Vice-chancellor, Professor Olugbenga Ige a, therefore, directed that this medium be used to advise all fresh students to complete their registration for the session before the 9th day of November 2021, and generate their matriculation numbers. This is very important and only those who have registered and assigned matriculation numbers will be matriculated.”
Additionally, the circular directed that all students who have paid their school fees and generated their matriculation number approach for registration of names.
“All fresh students who have generated their matriculation numbers are therefore advised to register their names with their matriculation numbers in their respective department.”
The circular added: “I am also to inform you that the matriculation numbers of newly admitted students would be forwarded to the JAMB office immediately after matriculation in line with Jamb’s directive. It is a requirement to ensure that your mobilization for national service, by the time you complete your program and ready for national service, is not hindered.”
The circular stated that the purpose is to bring to the attention of all fresh students for information and total compliance.
Recall that Campus Reporter has earlier reported that the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Olugbenga Ige has admonished the newly admitted students to embrace the habit of early and complete registration.
The admonition was made at the four-day orientation exercise for the new students which started on September 20th, 2021 held at the Olusegun Obasanjo Multipurpose hall (OBJ).
