The Administration of Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has finished the construction ofa 10km network of road in Ijapo Estate, Akure, Ondo State.

This information was received by Campus Reporter in a statement disclosed by the Ondo State Commissioner for Infrastructure, Lands and Housing, Eng. Raimi Aminu.
In an unscheduled visit by the commissioner to the estate, he had noted that substantial parts of the roads in some areas of Ijapo have been completed.
The commissioner, who had given his assurance that work will commence in other areas, added that a major road in Oba Ile will soon be linked to Alagbaka, stressing that contractors will be moved to the site soon.
“We are working on various roads totally over forty in number like awule and ijapo projects and have tagged them “phase one,” the commissioner added.
Additionally, a resident and former secretary to the old Ondo State Government, Mr Reuben Omolorun Modupe expressed satisfaction with the Governor’s revolution on road construction in the state and lauded the quality and pace of the project.
Similarly, the elder statesman who just got back from America and had been in the area for a few days appreciated the Governor for achieving the mileage in road construction despite having less funds at his disposal than the previous government.
“I am happy to see the amount of work, grading, vibrating and compaction properly done on the road. The roads are now in good condition and safe for driving,” he said.
At the end, the commissioner had thanked the elder statesman while adding that the state government will continue to construct roads that will improve the life of the people.
