Governor Obaseki Eases State Curfew to 8 hours daily

The Edo State Government has, on Tuesday, reviewed the curfew time in the state to last from 10 pm to 6 am daily, effective from today, November 3, 2020.

This was made known by the Special Adviser to Governor on Media and Communication Strategy, Pastor Crusoe Osagie in the state capital, saying that the state government has further reviewed the curfew time in the state to commence from 10 pm to 6 am daily, as against 6 pm to 6 am.

Recall that the government, in a bid to quash the attacks unleashed on state’s residents by hoodlums who hijacked the #EndSARS protest which also resulted in jailbreaking, looting and other unlawful acts in the state last month, declared a 24-hour curfew on of October 19, a declaration which was later reviewed to 4 pm to 6 am on the October 22nd.

Pastor Crusoe maintains that the government is fully committed to the security of lives and property and is working with security agencies to ensure peace and order is fully restored in the state.
