“Lifting Young People Up Is My Major Priority,” – Akeredolu

A Nigerian prelate of the Methodist Church of Nigeria, His Eminence Dr Samuel Chukwuemeka Kanu-Uche has hailed the Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN for his efforts towards an exemplified sincere leadership and being a courageous Nigerian.

In a statement released by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor Ondo State, Richard Olatunde on March 15, 2022, where the prelate described Governor Akeredolu as a defender of his people, he saluted his passion for the country and her unity.

His Eminence Chukwuemeka Kanu-Uche spoke during a courtesy visit to the Governor in his office, Alagbaka, Akure, the state capital. He lauded Governor Akeredolu for his efforts on security while declaring the sunshine state as one of the most secure states in the country.

Also, Dr Samuel said to the Governor: “You love Nigeria and your state with a passion. The way you enthroned security, Ondo is one of the most secure states in Nigeria. I want to thank you for you are a detribalized Nigerian and you don’t practice religious fanaticism.

“We admire you and love the way you speak about national issues. You are not buried in political affiliations. You are also a politician but a true Nigerian who speaks the truth at all times. You are a man of emotional intelligence and critical thinking.”

He went further, saying that “We will continue to pray for you to succeed. We want peace in Nigeria and we want one Nigeria as you are one of the Christian Governors we have. We need people like you in every state of our federation that will bring maturity into governance.”

The man of God also called for more programs targeted at empowering the youths in the country, adding that an enabling environment must be created to allow the youths to flourish.

He also applauded the Governor for the construction of the Ore flyover, adding that the daily accident that normally occurs at the cross junction of the road has now stopped.

Governor Akeredolu thanked the prelate for his prayers and support, describing him as one of the great leaders of the Christian faith in the country.

Akeredolu concluded by saying that he does not doubt the efficacy of his prayers as his being in office is a product of prayers, noting that his administration is committed to empowering and lifting the youths in the state.
