NANS Congratulates Ondo State Government Over License Approval

On Thursday, 18 May 2023, the National Association Of Nigerian Students (NANS), South West region, congratulated the Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, on the license approval of the Ondo State Deep Seaport by the Federal Government of Nigeria.

The NANS Public Relations Officer, Awoyinfa Opeoluwa, disseminated the congratulatory message in a statement that noted that the approval of the Deep Seaport license is a testament to the current administration’s hard work, dedication, and vision.

It stressed further that developing a seaport will enhance the state’s economy, provide job opportunities, increase state revenue, and attract investors.

The press release reads, “The approval of the Deep Seaport license is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and vision of your administration and reflects the positive impact of your leadership on the state.

“The Development of a seaport will not only enhance the state’s economy, but it will also provide new opportunities for job creation, increase the state’s revenue base and attract more investors to the State”.

Furthermore, the statement noted that the approval validates the current administration’s commitment to the state’s economic development. It is also a testament to the collaboration between the state and Federal governments, which has enabled this significant development.

“The Deep Seaport will undoubtedly play a vital role in the state’s economic growth and will help to attract new businesses and investments in the state. It will also provide an avenue for the state to tap into the enormous potentials of the maritime industry, which has been identified as the key driver of economic growth of the country”, it read.

In conclusion, the statement urged the State Government to continue working towards the successful implementation of the project and to ensure that the project is executed in a transparent, accountable, and sustainable way, which will benefit the people of the state and the country as a whole.
