The Governing Council and Management of Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology, OAUSTECH, Okitipupa, have named the University Senate Building after the Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.

This announcement was made by the pro-chancellor of the governing council of the institution, Professor Akimbo Adesomoju, during the commissioning of some of the projects at the University, on Wednesday the 9th March 2022.
Governor Akeredolu had said that within the first hundred days in office, his administration had laid asphalt on the road of the University from the main gate into the heart of the campus after visible neglect for about eight years.
Also, the Governor commissioned the library, auditorium, and administrative building on the 13th of August 2020.
More so, it was noted that under his administration, all programmes due for National Universities Commission accreditation have been accredited, even though the University had been enlisted as a beneficiary of TETFund for the first time since inception.
Governor Akeredolu, who expressed surprise at the gesture, described the development as a call to do more.
He said, “Though this came as a surprise to me, it will surely spur us to do more in our education sector.”
Finally, Akeredolu said: “What we have done is for the good of the state and we Will continue to do more so as to build a stronger Institution for the coming generation.”
He gave thanks to the founder, Late Dr Olusegun Agagu, the ex-governor of the state.
