If elected, I’ll ensure Nigeria experience transformation – David Mark

David Mark, former Senate President and presidential aspirant, has assured Nigerians would experience transformation within four years if he is elected president in 2019.

Mr Mark made this vow during his visit to Ibadan on Wednesday, where he met Oyo State Peoples Democratic Party delegates at the party’s secretariat.

He confirmed that for him, the election is not a do or die affair and promised to cooperate with whoever emerged as the winner of the presidential election to force the administration of Buhari out of government.

He emphasized his belief that the 2019 presidential election winner belongs to PDP if the present administration is prepared to ensure free, fair and credible election, giving his own view that his tenure as the Senate President was void of uproar.

He said the basis of his visit was to seek the support of the delegates towards his the success of his bid.

Alhaji Omokunmi Mustapha, the Oyo State PDP chairman said the PDP would ensure a successful primary and will be united to win the general election.

Mr Mark has been in the Senate since 1999. Between 2007 and 2015, he was the Senate President and, in 2010, he started the legislature’s culture of budget secrecy, preventing Nigerians from knowing the finances of their lawmakers.
