Following a directive by the Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu (SAN), for the reopening of all schools in the state, the management of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, has directed all its staff to resume work on Monday, 19 2020.
This was contained in a circular released by the school management dated 15 October 2020 and signed by the school registrar, Opeoluwa Akinfemiwa.
“In line with the decision of the Ondo State Government directing reopening of schools following the flattering of the curve of the virus to a large extent in the state, the University management at is emergency meeting of Thursday, 15 October directed that members of staff to resume with immediate effect from Monday , 19th 2020.
The circular also stated that all members of staff are to maintain a high level of hygiene and the use of facemasks, washing of hands with soap must be strictly adhered to.
Moreso, the temperature of members of staff will be taken by the designated staff of the University health centre at all the entry point to the university.
The staff are enjoined to cooperate with the staff of the security unit and health centre at the designated university gates.
As at the time of filing this report, the resumption date for students has not been announced.
