The Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Osun West Senatorial District, Lere Oriolowo, has won Saturday’s National Assembly election in the area.
The candidate received 102,147 votes while his closest rival, Lere Oyewumi of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) received 97,294 votes. Additionally, Dotun Babayemi of the African Democratic Party (ADP), came third with 42,915 votes in the election.
With this latest result, APC has two Senators (Central and West) while PDP won one (East) in Osun State.
