Enoch Eyiaro, an accounting student of the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, Osun State, has emerged the winner of the second edition of the OAU Who Gets to Be a Millionaire competition, winning a N1 million cash prize.
The academic quiz competition, organised by the Office of the Students’ Union Financial Secretary, Dare Ogunleye, was held on Saturday, 27 June, at Oduduwa Hall. The competition featured 29 contestants who qualified through a preliminary round conducted earlier in the week.
The competition, conceived by the former SU Financial Secretary, Damilare Fashina, is designed to test students’ academic knowledge, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities among undergraduate students. It is modelled after the popular ‘Who Wants to Be a Millionaire’ television game show.
The competition evaluated contestants’ existing knowledge, with questions centred on current affairs, the University’s history, and aptitude assessment.

Winners
For the final round, all six contestants proceeded to the showdown, where the contestant with the highest points, Mr Eyiaro, emerged the winner of the competition.
Pelumi Oyegbori emerged as the first runner-up, while Muyiwa Eniola emerged as the second runner-up.
The competition was held in two stages. In the opening round, the 30 contestants were divided into three groups of 10, with the top two contestants from each group advancing to the grand finale.
Six contestants proceeded to the final stage. They are: Pelumi Oyegbori and Oladipupo Abdulmujeeb from the first batch, Akinniyi Mustapha and Afolabi Temiloluwa from the second batch, as well as Eyiare Enoch and Muyiwa Eniola from the third batch.
