Technology Available To Help Women Labelled Infertile Conceive – Don

Women can conceive and give birth with the introduction of Endoeye and Endoscopic technology even after years of infertility, a don has said.

Ifeanyichukwu Ikechebelu, a professor of obstetrics and gynaecology, stated this while delivering the 41st inaugural lecture of the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, UNIZIK, Awka, at the University Auditorium on Thursday.

Mr Ikechebelu described the Endoeye technology as an invention that has improved the surgery process in the medical profession and given hope to women who were formerly labelled as infertile.

According to him, most reproduction problems that affect women have to do with their surroundings and can be corrected by a simple surgery process as long as the relevant medical doctor has knowledge of the Endoeye technology.

The Professor, while advising young women to go for an endoscopic checkup before marriage, called on the University community to “invest in the technology as it is safer, has a low risk of infection and involves little or no blood transfusion.”

Speaking at the occasion, the vice-chancellor of the UNIZIK, Joseph Ahaneku, described the inaugural lecture as a continuity of the University tradition of appreciating and celebrating excellence.

Mr Ahaneku who was the chairman of the occasion stated that the occasion affords an opportunity for the world to tap from the fountain of knowledge bestowed on the inaugural lecturer.
