The Vice-Chancellor of the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Joseph Ahaneku, on Monday commissioned a multi-million naira facility to enhance research and learning at the school’s faculty of physical sciences.
Mr Ahaneku stated that the multifunctional facility would go a long way in helping researchers, teachers, PhD students and visiting researchers in their research and data collection.
He noted that the presence of such facility would increase the visibility of the institution.

The VC further added that the facility would not only benefit the faculty of physical sciences but other science-related faculties. He called on other faculties to emulate the physical sciences.
The Dean of Physical Sciences, A. J Ekpunobi commended the Vice-Chancellor for his support.
He listed the equipment to include Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer, UV-VIS Spectrometer, Multiparameter Meter, Conductivity Meter, Binocular Meter, Travelling Microscope, Water Bath, Hot Plate with Magnetic Stirrer, Laptop and Printers.
